Chica Andrade
Director
Chica Andrade is a Brazilian director, screenwriter, producer and actress.
Her first short fiction film won the top prize at the Queer Lisboa Film Festival, in addition to dozens of awards around the world. She is co-director of the series Segura Essa Pose, a Globo Play original, and is part of the New York-based talent network Firelight Media.
In 2024, she represented Brazil at the American Film Showcase in Los Angeles. In 2025, she was part of the Sundance Trans Possibilities program. She is currently a project consultant for Warner Bros.
Recebeu prêmios e participou de laboratórios como Diáspora Lab, Filma Afro Cartagena, entre outros, pelo argumento e roteiro de O Depoimento de Manicongo. Atualmente finaliza seu longa de docuficção House of Hilton, coprodução Brasil–Estados Unidos. Atua também como consultora de diversidade e inovação em projetos audiovisuais da Warner Bros e integrou o júri das mostras de cinema queer na Mostra Internacional de Cinema em São Paulo e no Festival do Rio, em 2025.
